THE ACTING HEAD OF ODESA BRANCH OF THE STATE ENTERPRISE “UKRAINIAN SEA PORTS AUTHORITY” (SE «USPA») DMYTRO NAZARENKO PARTICIPATED IN THE UKRAINE–ITALY INTERNATIONAL TERRITORIAL COOPERATION FORUM

The Acting Head of the Odesa Branch of SE “USPA”, Dmytro Nazarenko, took part in the Ukraine–Italy International Territorial Cooperation Forum, which was organized in the city of Bari (Apulia region, Italy).

In his speech, Dmytro Nazarenko informed forum participants about the work of the Ukrainian Maritime Corridor and presented plans for the implementation of several large-scale infrastructure projects in the short term. He called on partners for active cooperation and emphasized the continuous operation of the Odesa Sea Port under martial law conditions.

  • "Despite all the challenges of wartime, the Odesa port has not ceased its operations and remains an essential component of the country’s economic resilience. Today, we work with a vision for tomorrow – a peaceful, strong, and maritime Ukraine. I am confident that together we will not only restore the port but make it even more powerful, modern, and competitive on the global stage,", — said Dmytro Nazarenko.

The President of the Adriatic Sea Ports System, lawyer Francesco Mastro, proposed the creation of a joint working group to develop port partnership and also suggested inviting the children of Odesa port employees to visit the city of Bari.

In the near future, the parties will begin joint work on a project aimed at further strengthening cooperation.

At the National Congress of Ukrainian Associations in Italy APS, it was emphasized that strengthening partnership relations between Italian ports and the Odesa Sea Port will have not only economic and institutional significance but also an important humanitarian aspect, aimed at supporting Ukrainian families during this challenging time for the country.
