Odesa Branch of the SE “Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority” Marks Environment Day: Shaping a Modern Space with Respect for Tradition
The Odesa Sea Port, located in the historic center of the city, is rightfully considered its heart – a key transport hub and a symbol of Odesa.
The port’s corporate culture, including its system of values and traditions, continues to shape the company’s modern identity.
At the initiative of the management of the Odesa Branch of the SE “USPA”, work has begun on developing a unified corporate visual identity – recognizable and aligned with European approaches, particularly the principles of functionality and emotional authenticity. The first step was the renovation of the central checkpoint, the port’s calling card.
Special attention has been given to the improvement of the surrounding area. Specialists from the Engineering department developed a landscaping design for the flowerbeds at Mytna Square, while employees of the Maintenance and construction department carried out the full scope of preparatory work.
The landscape design concept was developed by Nadiia Shaposhnykova, Head of the Environmental Safety Division.
“On the occasion of Environmental Day, which is observed this year on April 18, the port traditionally organizes environmental activities aimed at raising awareness about the protection and preservation of the environment. This year, thanks to the support of the management, we were able to implement a comprehensive approach – carrying out landscaping and floral design in a unified style. Euonymus, junipers, yucca, berberis, pine trees, lavender, and other plants were planted. Pink quartzite – a durable and long-lasting natural stone was used as a finishing element, harmoniously completing the composition. At present, the improvement of the area surrounding the central checkpoint has been completed, and we plan to continue work in other parts of the port,” — noted Nadiia Shaposhnykova.
The implementation of such initiatives not only enhances the visual appearance of the enterprise but also creates a comfortable environment for both employees and visitors.
The Odesa Port continues to evolve, combining respect for its rich history with modern European standards of landscaping and corporate culture.
