Mr. Heiko Thoms, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Ukraine, visited the Odesa Branch of the State Enterprise "Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority"
During the visit, a meeting was held with the management of the State Enterprise “Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority” and the Odesa branch of SE “USPA”.
The guests were provided with up-to-date information on the port’s operations under the conditions of full-scale Russian aggression, as well as on the consequences of enemy attacks on port infrastructure and the region’s logistics network. The parties also discussed prospects for further German–Ukrainian cooperation in the maritime sector and the development of transport infrastructure.
The Ambassador confirmed the Federal Government of Germany’s continued intention to support the Odesa region as one of Ukraine’s key transport hubs and an important element in ensuring international trade and global food security.
