The Odesa Sea Port Authority (Odesa branch of SE “USPA”) continues to implement the safety measures
Given the ongoing threat of missile attacks by the russian federation targeting port infrastructure facilities, the risks to the lives and health of employees —especially those working far from stationary shelters—have significantly increased. This primarily concerns personnel of the port security unit, who are on duty 24/7 at the port’s checkpoints.
To enhance the protection of this category of workers, the port’s management has launched the initiative to install modular shelters, with the support of the charitable foundation “Ukrainian Foundation.” The plan includes installing 10 such shelters, each to be placed in close proximity to workstations.
As of today, the first modular shelter has already been delivered and installed. Further deliveries and installations of the remaining shelters are planned in stages.
— “People’s safety is the top priority in our work,” the Odesa branch of SE “USPA management says.” “Thanks to these shelters, our employees will be able to quickly reach safety during air raids. This significantly reduces risks and allows for a more effective response to emergency situations.”
The Odesa Sea Port Authority expresses its sincere gratitude to all involved organizations helping to ensure safe working conditions for port employees during martial law.
