Odesa Sea Port celebrated World Environment Day with Eco-Initiatives
To mark World Environment Day, a series of environmental events took place at the Odesa Sea Port. They were organized by the Environmental Safety Department of the Odesa Branch of the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (Odesa Sea Port Authority) with support from partner companies.
As in previous years, the focus was on improving the port’s territory and landscaping. However, this year Odesa port workers also joined the nationwide initiative "Plastic Saves Lives", which is part of the "City of the Future" project. During the campaign, employees collected plastic items for recycling. Funds raised from the recycling process are donated to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

– "The main idea behind the event is not only to care for the environment, but also to support our defenders," — said Nadiia Shaposhnykova, Head of the Environmental Safety Department of Odesa Sea Port Authority. – "This campaign brings together the efforts of citizens and businesses for a shared goal - a cleaner environment and a stronger Ukraine."
Employees from Odesa Sea Port Authority’s structural divisions, as well as representatives of stevedoring companies operating in the port, took part in the initiatives.
The Odesa Sea Port Authority expresses deepest gratitude to its active partners for their participation: Prista Oil–Ukraine LLC, Novolog LLC, UNSC LLC, and Ukrelevatorprom LLC.
Together, through our joint efforts, we are making the port cleaner, safer, and more environmentally friendly every day!
