Odesa port workers organise blood donation for soldiers of Ukrainian Armed Forces
Replenishing of blood supplies during the full-scale war is one of the priority conditions for saving lives of servicemen and civilians. At the same time, blood donation is the least each of us can do to thank our soldiers at the front for the opportunity to live, work and enjoy the new spring.
Another charity event in support of our defenders was held on March 5 at the medical and sanitary unit of the Odesa Sea Port (SE "USPA" Odesa branch). Blood was collected in compliance with all requirements by a visiting team of specialists from the Odesa Regional Blood Transfusion Station.
Employees of the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority and stevedoring companies of the Port of Odesa also participated in the campaign. The necessary organizational and security measures were undertaken by the administration of the SE “USPA” Odesa branch.
It shall be reminded that the tradition of holding donor days in the port of Odesa has a long history. However, since the beginning of russia's full-scale military invasion of our country, the number of such events has increased significantly. By sharing their blood, the employees of the port's public and private entities take care of the lives and health of their colleagues who are now defending Ukraine's independence with arms in hand.
