JOINT FIRE AND TACTICAL DRILLS AT THE PORT OF ODESA
In order to enhance cooperation between the departmental fire protection units of the Odesa Seaport Authority and private stevedoring companies operating within the port, joint fire-tactical training exercises were conducted at Berths № 5–6 of the Prista Oil Ukraine LLC tank farm.
During the exerciseы, participants practiced response procedures in the event of emergency incidents, studied the operational and tactical characteristics of the facility, and inspected the availability and functionality of the complex’s fire protection systems. Special attention was given to testing the shore-based water curtain system.
The training involved the facility’s engineering personnel, the operational command staff of the departmental fire protection unit, as well as two fire engines.
According to the results of the exercises, the readiness of forces and means for prompt response to emergency situations and ensuring the appropriate level of fire safety on the territory of the port was confirmed.
