German delegation visited Odesa port

On February 24, the second anniversary of the russian occupiers’ full-scale invasion of Ukraine, a German delegation headed by German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock visited Odesa region.

During the visit, the distinguished guest called on the Odesa seaport. Denys Paviglianiti-Karpov, Head of the USPA Odesa branch, briefed Annalena Baerbock on the consequences of russian terrorism and attacks on critical infrastructure. In particular, the Minister saw with her own eyes the destruction caused by the shelling and strongly condemned russia's aggression against Ukraine.

As a memento of their visit to the port of Odesa, the delegation members were presented with bags of Ukrainian grain, a symbol of Ukraine's historical mission as a breadbasket of Europe in the 18th and 19th centuries; a symbol of a country which in era of its independence became one of the leading grain exporters.

After the visit, the representatives of the leading German media who accompanied the visit met with the Deputy Head of the State Enterprise "USPA" Dmytro Barinov, who told them about the work of Ukrainian ports and Ukrainian Corridor during the russian aggression on the territory of Ukraine.
